Dr Joanne Boag
Chief Executive Officer

Dr Joanne Boag has more than 15 years-experience working in the life sciences sector developing health and medical research products and services. Most recently, as Director of Business Development at commercial stage digital health company, Joanne was responsible for driving execution of the company’s business partnering strategy and leading the implementation of key business partnering projects, including supporting all aspects of upstream business development and leading downstream service delivery.

Previously, Joanne has worked at an ASX-listed diagnostic company and medical research institutions, where she led successful outcomes in research innovation and commercialisation, raising significant funding through equity financing and grants, facilitating collaborations with industry partners and was responsible for the strategic management of intellectual property portfolios.

Joanne is a Registered Australian Patent and Trade Mark Attorney and has a Bachelor of Science with Honours from Murdoch University and a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Western Australia.

Mr Alan Bunting
Company Secretary and Advisor to the Audit and Risk Committee

Mr Alan Bunting has extensive experience in Finance and Administration. His previous appointment lasted 23 years where he assisted in transitioning a private company to an ASX Listed public company.

As the Group Financial Controller for the last 11 years, he was responsible for meeting all of the financial and administrative requirements in the Australian office, the preparation of the half year and Annual reporting packages and the Annual report for the Multinational Group. He also worked with the Company Secretary to ensure ASIC and ASX statutory compliance.

Alan has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Victoria University, and has been a CPA for over 30 years.


Dr Sharon Joseph
Contracts and IP Manager

Dr Sharon Joseph has considerable experience in the biopharmaceutical field involving patent protection, strategic IP management and commercial agreements. Additionally, she has acted in an advisory capacity in IP litigation, due diligence, IP sales, joint ventures, licensing and public listings.  Her diverse patent and commercial experience is complemented by a PhD in medical research.

Sharon’s previous appointments include practising as a Senior Patent Attorney in a number of top tier Australian and International Patent Attorney firms.  She was also the IP Manager for the CRC for Biomarker Translation and LaTrobe University where she developed and managed IP Policy and commercialisation strategy procedures.  In addition, Sharon has worked with Consult Insurance Solutions as an advisory to biopharmaceutical Insurance involving assessment of risk in this industry.

Sharon holds a BSc.Hons and PhD from The University of Melbourne, Department of Medicine.  She is also a qualified and registered Australian and New Zealand Patent Attorney and a Fellow of The Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia. Sharon also holds a Tier 1 Professional Insurance Broking qualification from The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).


Ms Rebecca Moss
Director of Technology

Ms Rebecca Moss has many years of experience in supporting the technology needs of small biotech organisations.  She started her career as a Research Assistant and spent 18 years working at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute where she helped establish the High Throughput Screening Facility.  Rebecca transitioned into an Automation and Application Specialist role where she provided support for the robotics, software applications and data systems that underpinned the Facility.

In addition to providing support to the WEHI High Throughput Screening Facility, Rebecca also joined the Cancer Therapeutics CRC in 2008 where she was responsible for managing the data requirements for the CRC.  After a number of years, Rebecca moved into the role of Director of Technology where she provided leadership and development of the organisations research and business technology environments.  Rebecca continues to perform this role for Cancer Therapeutics, in addition her skills and expertise are contracted by CTxONE to provide capability and knowledge to support the business.

Rebecca has a BSc (Hons) from RMIT University Melbourne and has undertaken additional studies in Business Analysis, Change Management, Project Management and IT Service Management.
